Biden should take care of his own granddaughter before laying claim to ‘all our kids’

In honor of Pride month, the White House published a curious video of President Joe Biden speaking not about gay marriage or decriminalizing homosexuality abroad but rather about the nation’s children.

“These are our kids,” the president says as a Pride rainbow is projected on the White House walls. “These are our neighbors. Not somebody else’s kids; they’re all our kids. And our children are the kite strings that hold our national ambitions aloft. It matters a great deal how we treat everyone in this country. LGBTQI+ Americans, especially children, you are loved. You are heard. And this administration has your back.”

The Biden administration has not exactly hidden its intentions to co-opt Pride, ostensibly a month to celebrate gay adults fighting against legal discrimination and achieving marriage equality, as a way to abolish parental rights in the Platonic pursuit of rendering children community property of the state. But perhaps before Biden lays claim to “all our kids,” he could first take care of his biological granddaughter.

Although Biden has repeatedly insisted that he only has six grandchildren, he has seven. But for the Biden family, which has always clung to its upper-middling status, even as alcoholism has desecrated its ranks, “status” has always been something fiercely to guard. It is thus little surprise that the family patriarch has turned a blind eye to his son Hunter’s abysmal treatment of 4-year-old Navy Joan, the daughter cursed with the original sin of what used to be known as an “illegitimate” birth.

Kathleen Buhle, Hunter Biden’s first wife, discovered that Hunter Biden was having an affair with his sister-in-law Hallie Biden in November 2016. Buhle finalized her divorce from Hunter Biden within the year, and months after that, Hunter Biden impregnated Lunden Alexis Roberts, who was working as a stripper to pay for her tuition at George Washington University.

After briefly adding Roberts to his employer-sponsored health insurance, Hunter Biden kicked his pregnant paramour, and thus his soon-to-be-born daughter, off his healthcare, checking with his assistant that “what’s her name” was indeed removed from the company payroll. Despite text messages confirming his paternity before he ghosted Roberts, Hunter Biden continued to deny fathering baby Navy Joan until he took a mandatory paternity test. Now, the first son is taking Roberts back to court not only to skirt child support payments but to deny Navy Joan the right to the last name Biden.

House Republicans may be about to drop the hammer on the Biden family’s influence peddling, as they claim that the president, then the vice president, used Hunter Biden’s ties directly to take a bribe. And yet the most heart-wrenchingly cruel thing Joe and Hunter Biden have ever done may be financially abusing, physically neglecting, and publicly humiliating their scientifically proven progeny. In this attitude more than any other, the Bidens are more like absolute monarchs obsessed with the “legitimacy” of their heirs than any adherents to democracy.

Parents and families ought to be taking care of their own children rather than ceding the responsibility to the state. How about the Bidens own up to their responsibility to Navy Joan before insisting they are responsible for children with parents already present?
